Terms & Conditions


These terms and conditions apply without exception or variation to all hire arrangements made between the customer and THE WED SHED.
Upon paying your £50 booking and security deposit, you signify that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms.
Please be aware NO BOOKINGS will be confirmed until a £50 booking fee and security deposit is received.
1. All hired goods remain the property of The Wed Shed.
2. During the period of all goods on hire, the customer shall be solely responsible for the hired goods and shall be alone, responsible for ensuring the goods from the time of delivery until their return and acceptance of goods back into the possession of The Wed Shed.
3. The Wed Shed shall not be responsible for injury or damage to persons or property arising from any goods under hire.
4. The Wed Shed reserves the right to hold a refundable security deposit. This will be £50.00 (or 25% of your invoice if using our DIY Prop Hire Service).This will be taken prior to the wedding or event and returned thereafter, given that all items are returned and in a satisfactory condition.
5. Shortages and damages to hired goods will be charged at their full replacement value, details of which are available on request and no substitute item will be accepted by The Wed Shed.
- 5b. In the unfortunate event of any damages or breakages to larger items, you will be liable for the cost of repair or replacement.
6. The customer may request in writing the return (and bear the cost thereof) of any damaged goods within 14 days of the customer being informed in writing of any such damage. Otherwise the said items will be disposed of.
7. When the goods on hire are collected by or delivered to the customer or their representative, the customer shall inspect the goods and inform The Wed Shed if they have any concerns. Otherwise the goods shall be deemed to be complete and in an acceptable condition.
8. Prices quoted are for one day hire only.
9. The Wed Shed will be responsible for the set up and take down of The Wed Shed hired items ONLY. The set up/take down of personal items will need to be agreed between The Wed Shed and the customer prior to the event. The customer will be informed if an additional charge for this will be incurred.
10. Delivery charges will apply to venues not within a 15 mile radius of The Old Mill, Aldermaston, Berkshire, RG7 4LB. The customer will be made aware of these charges before booking. Charges are based per mile.
11. The Wed Shed is happy to style a venue with customers' own items. This MUST be agreed by both parties prior to the event.
- 11b. If own items require more than 15 minutes of set up time on top of The Wed Sheds allocated time, a handling charge of £100 will be applied for 1 hours work and £100 per hour thereafter.
- 11c. Take down of own items will be based upon the time of collection and work required. Cost to be discussed with The Wed Shed.
12. The Wed Shed is not responsible for any loss of damages to goods of the customers.
13. A minimum spend of £200 applies for venues within a 25 mile radius of The Old Mill, Aldermaston, Berkshire, RG7 4LB.
-13b.  A minimum spend of £500.00 applies for venues outside a 25 mile radius of The Old Mill, Aldermaston, Berkshire, RG7 4LB.
14. If the customer wishes to change the hire date, this must be done in writing no later than 90 days prior to the event. If the new date is available, The Wed Shed will change the booking at no extra charge. If the new date is not available and no alternative date can be agreed between the customer and The Wed Shed, the booking shall be deemed to have been cancelled.
15. In the event of a cancellation, 90 days or less, a charge will be levied by The Wed Shed, at 25% of the value of the estimated order.
16. Cancellations made 90 days or more to the event will lose their £50.00 booking and security deposit only.
17. Customers who hold their event date with a £50.00 booking fee and security deposit will be entitled to a full refund of their £50 booking fee and security deposit if they are unhappy with the quote/service after the first consultation has taken place.
- 17b. Customers must inform The Wed Shed no later than 7 days of receiving their quote that they would no longer like to proceed with their booking. Otherwise, The Wed Shed will assume that the customer is happy to proceed, and normal terms and conditions now apply for cancellations.
- 17c. The initial 1-1 consultation must be held no later than 180 days to the event in order to qualify for this refund. If no consultation is held during this time, the customer loses their right to a refund of their booking and security deposit.
- 17d. The customer is responsible for booking in this consultation with The Wed Shed.
18. Amendments can be made to the customer's booking up until 30 days prior to the event.
19. Any unpaid cancellation charges or charges for damages or losses that remain outstanding after 30 days from invoice will be passed to a Collections Company who will act on our behalf and charges will be added to your account.
20. In the event of a breakage to any of our items from a previous hire, this will be replaced with a like for like item. In the event that we can no longer source the exact product, a similar one will be purchased. The customer will be advised of the change and offered the similar product. The customer will be entitled to a full refund if this product is no longer wanted.
21. Final numbers for hired items should be made clear to The Wed Shed 6 weeks before the event.
22. The Wed Shed reserves the right to use any photography of events for social media promotional purposes unless otherwise advised by the hirer.
23. Final payment is required in full 4 weeks prior to the event.
24. Nut Allergies and Safety Warnings: Please note that some sweets may contain nuts or traces of nuts, nut oils or may have been alongside other products containing nuts The Wed Shed cannot be held responsible for any issues related to food allergies it is the hirer's responsibility to notify their guests. The customer should also ensure that children are suitably supervised as sweets could pose a choking hazard.
